Facilitation Opportunity, SMT of Legal Regulator

Regardless of if you are a newcomer to facilitation or a very experienced professional, if you have attended Group Dynamics or the Facilitators Toolkit in the past or not – with this programme you are in for a treat of further self-discovery.

We are inviting you to join our foundational facilitation courses starting September.

You will get:

  • Time and space to reflect, and look at your facilitation style from a different angle.
  • An opportunity to visit some of your groups related challenges and potentially resolve them for yourself.
  • Practical experience to consider (reconsider) some tools that will potentially simplify your work.
  • Enhanced confidence in working with groups.
  • When attending the full Foundations Course free supervision with AoF experts.

Join us for our Foundations in Facilitation Skills programme starting in September 2024. The course is appropriate for all managers and facilitators.

Please also be so kind to share this information with people that might benefit from this course.

About the programme:

The Foundations in Facilitation Programme comprises two modules and an accreditation day – 5 contact days in total. Attendance on both modules, peer group meetings and self-study are required for accreditation at Level 1.

In the Facilitator’s Toolkit module we will introduce you to Dimensions of Facilitator Style, a practical toolkit designed to equip you with the confidence and skill to effectively handle group processes and group tasks, paying attention to structure and interventions before, during and after an event. You will learn how to direct and guide groups hierarchically, and to work in cooperative and autonomous ways too, as appropriate.

In the Group Dynamics module you will become aware of the effect that prevailing group dynamics has on you, including; your attitudes, assumptions, personal triggers, and defences. Time is given to explore the nature of projection and transference, and developing personal strategies for handling them. You will become more comfortable in handling situations as they emerge, and more aware of the subtle influence that you have on a group, and vice versa.

Self and Peer Assessment & Accreditation offers a detailed self-assessment against the FACETS® competencies, and gathered supporting evidence, this day will consolidate your learning into a clear statement of accreditation.
