As we step into 2026, we’re looking ahead to opportunities to deepen practice and connect through our programmes and events. We wanted to start by sharing a reminder of what’s coming up over the next few months, alongside our core programmes. In addition to our upcoming Foundations in Facilitation Skills and Certificate in Facilitation Skills programmes, which provide structured pathways to strengthen your practice and work towards accreditation, we have a number of Learning Labs and Learning Days designed to explore specific themes, tools, and approaches in depth. As well as our new Facilitators Retreat, which we shared an invitation to yesterday and are looking forward to hosting this summer. Upcoming Learning Labs & Days (Jan–March 2026) |
Interventions and Traps – Online Learning Lab
29 January, 2026, 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm
The “6-Cat” model by John Heron offers a practical framework for knowing “what to do now?” as a facilitator. This session explores a range of interventions, including recognizing unskilled patterns and developing self-awareness around our habitual facilitation grooves.
Contracting – Online Learning Lab
26 February, 2026, 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Good contracting is central to effective facilitation. In this session, we’ll examine how to work ethically and equitably with participants, sponsors, clients, and co-facilitators, covering agreements on outcomes, ways of working, fees, boundaries, and renegotiation.
Theatre of the Oppressed – Learning Day
16 March, 2026, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Explore Augusto Boal’s techniques for participatory theatre and discover how they can support clients, create space for new perspectives, and unlock meaningful change. Facilitator Nick Mabey brings twenty years of experience in weaving drama and theatre into organisational and community contexts. Expect a day that is serious and fun, participative and reflective, self-focused and outward looking.
