Learning Day- 24th March Roles & Constellations – Bring a guest for free

Happy New Year!
LEARNING DAY – TUESDAY 24 MARCH
Our next Learning Day will be held on Tuesday March 24th at Highfield Park, Hook, (£80 members, £100 non-members, 10am-4pm). Breakfast rolls, tea/coffee and lunch are available.
Our Learning Day offers participants a rich day of enquiry, collaborative learning and a gentle stretch. We anticipate that we will all leave with new ideas, resources and a refreshed practice having made and renewed connections.
We also offer this day as a Taster Day for those who are new to AoF and wish to experience working and learning together in a collaborative environment.
We warmly invite both members and non-members to bring a guest for free and we hope to meet some old and new colleagues.
Making Sense of the Roles We Play in a Group
In the morning, Victoria Shaw will be leading us through a reflection on our personality and role as facilitators to notice and confront our contribution to groups. Blending a variety of theoretical approaches from consideration of power to personal style and career stage, we will explore the link between our personality, behaviour, feelings and role, before being invited to ‘play’ with new roles in a short facilitated experiment.
This promises to be a highly engaging and awareness-raising session, providing space for theoretical and reflective learning with other professionals.
Facilitating Group Work Using the Constellations Approach
In the afternoon, Bella Mehta will provide an introduction to working with Constellations within a group setting.
The Constellations approach combines insights from family therapy (Bert Hellinger), Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and other humanistic and psychodynamic approaches to enhance our understanding of what is required for effective relationships within groups.
As well as learning some of the basic principles of working with organisational and system constellations, we will offer space to experiment with applying the constellations approach to real-world situations and dynamics.
