BECOMING A FACILITATOR

Thinking about becoming a Facilitator?

In our view, facilitation skills are essential for healthy leadership, management and participation in all aspects of business and society. These skills can be developed by anyone, working at any level, with any group. We are always pleased to support those who already facilitate, or wish to learn to facilitate, whether it is your main ‘job’, a small part of your role and/or something you would like to do more of in the future..

Our 2023 survey showed that most facilitators learn primarily ‘on the job’ adapting from others, without formal training or an underlying philosophy. Advancing our skills sometimes simply means getting feedback from others on what works well, building our competence and thereby our confidence. Enhanced awareness allows us to hone our skills, letting go of bad habits and blind spots and sharpening our practice. It is an ongoing journey, and we can be company along the way.

We support existing and aspiring facilitators in a range of ways:

Through our training courses, we encourage and support individuals to discover and develop their own style of facilitation for maximum presence and impact.

Working experientially and holistically with a competency framework unique to group facilitation (FACETS®) we offer several training pathways to becoming an Accredited Facilitator.

We also offer bespoke in-house training to organisations wishing to train and accredit a number of facilitators.
