Reflect and Strengthen Your Practice

In our recent survey, several members mentioned that they were interested in supervision, so we wanted to share a reminder about this valuable benefit for members. As an Accredited or Affiliate Member, you receive one free supervision session per year – a dedicated space to:

  • Examine your role and impact in groups
  • Gain insight into your responses, attitudes, and facilitation style
  • Debrief difficult assignments and manage stress
  • Maintain well-being and ethical practice

Non-members are also welcome to book at a cost.

Supervision is also a core aspect of FACETS®, our core competency model, where support plays a key role in sustaining ethical and effective facilitation. Investing time in supervision helps ensure balance, resilience, and continual development in your work.

FACETS®: A Refreshed Resource for Your Development

Furthermore, as part of the updates to our website, we’ve refreshed several resources, including FACETS. FACETS acknowledges the multi-dimensional nature of facilitation, providing a structured framework for assessing and developing personal and professional skills. The model’s six interrelated areas – Facilitation, Awareness, Contract, Ethics, Theory, and Support – are central to both the skill level and character of practitioners.

We invite you to revisit and reflect, and use our re-designed FACETS to:

  • Reflect on your practice and explore areas for development
  • Re-evaluate your facilitation skills against the six FACETS
  • Assess where you are and explore higher levels of accreditation

Whether you’re new to the model or already familiar with its principles, FACETS serves as a practical and reflective tool to deepen your practice.

Log in to the Members Area to view the refreshed document and revisit how FACETS can support you in your facilitation journey. Contact us if you need a reminder of your details.

Have feedback? We’d love to hear how you’re using FACETS and any ideas for new resources – just get in touch.
