Retreat in order to advance…
A very warm welcome to 2026. We’re anticipating another year of connecting, learning, and collaborating with our community. To kick things off, we’re offering a brand-new exclusive opportunity to step away, reflect, and recharge this summer. Initially this invitation is going to you as a member, with the option to invite guests, before being extended more widely in a few weeks.
We’re delighted to invite you to our first Facilitators Retreat, taking place 3-5 June 2026 in the enriching woodlands of Hazel Hill Wood, near Salisbury, Wiltshire.
As group facilitators, the ongoing demands of working with teams and groups can leave us feeling stretched. Sometimes we don’t need another course or coaching, we simply need purposeful space to reset and refresh. You may have an established practice, or considering setting up or leaving existing work. Either way, in this short retreat, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Work at your own pace in a secluded 70-acre woodland, allowing the natural environment to support reflection and restoration.
Enjoy solitude, walking and talking, or lightly-facilitated group activities including bodywork, imagework, and other creative forms of expression.
Retreat in order to advance, allowing your facilitation practice, and your well-being, to be enriched by time with yourself, with others, and with the forest.
Location & accommodation:
Hazel Hill Wood has been the source of deep transformation work for many decades and offers a comfortable environment for work and rest. It is primarily off-grid, with accommodation and group spaces heated by wood burners and powered by solar energy, and mains drinking water. Choose from comfortable single or double rooms, camping, or room-sharing to suit your needs. Meals, refreshments, and facilitated sessions are included.
Cost & timings:
We (AoF) are offering this, at a low cost of just £300 inclusive of two nights’ accommodation, catered meals, refreshments and the option of facilitated group activities and enquiry.
Arrive anytime from 5pm on the Wednesday, enjoy a catered dinner and drinks in the Oak House, a day of gentle work on the Thursday and no doubt a campfire at some point. On Friday, we will all depart by midday.
We very much hope you will join us in the woods, for this first-ever retreat this summer. Spaces are limited, so members have the opportunity to book a place for themselves and their guests, before this invitation will be extended to others in a few weeks.
